Abstract

The field of languages - their study or teaching- is traditionally more invested by women than by men. The same is true for sectors dealing with the intimacy of the home and the education of children. Being intersectional, are the practices of family language transmission doomed to be gendered? What do testimonies of fathers who speak French in the city of Bern teach us on the matter in 2021?
