Continuités et déplacements dans les travaux de la Division des politiques linguistiques du Conseil de l’Europe

Abstract

The Language Policy Division of the Council of Europe has produced many influential instruments such as the «Common European Framework for Modern Languages» and the «European Language Portfolio». Its action is characterized by a constant tension between institution centred and learner centred tools. A transition phase is now underway with the project «Languages in/for Education» and the «Platform of resources and references for plurilingual and intercultural education», where the language of schooling is taken into full consideration.
