À Zurich vivent aujourd’hui plus d’un millier de Romanches – 1’088 exactement selon les statistiques. Zurich a toujours été un lieu privilégié pour les Grison-ne-s parlant romanche. Une si grande communauté romanchophone n’est présente nulle part ailleurs hors des Grisons.
